What You Should Know Before your Appointment:

Massage is an ancient practice that your body naturally knows and accepts while also being a preventative tool that allows us to live to our full physical potential.

If you’ve never visited an RMT before, it’s natural to have some questions. Below I’ve listed some helpful things to know ahead of your first appointment.

At your first appointment…

I’ll welcome you in, and bring you into the treatment room, where we can discuss your health history form, massage preferences and any other important information pertaining to your health and your history before beginning.

Then, I’ll leave the room to allow you to get comfortable on the table.

You can receive an effective, therapeutic massage regardless of how much clothing you choose to remove. Your comfort and ability to relax is my top priority. Some people like to remove all of their clothing, while others leave on their undergarments or other articles of clothing. It’s really up to you. Once on the table, as instructed, you can adjust to get comfortable, cover yourself with the table linens and wait for your therapist to knock on the door.

When your massage therapy session is complete, I will let you know.

I will ask you to take your time, get up slowly and get dressed. It’s important to take your time getting up, as it is common to experience some light-headedness after a massage.. Depending on the reason for the treatment, your massage therapist may recommend additional sessions, stretches, or exercises to maximize the benefit of the treatment.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please review the policy page.
